WJA HPWJ Training consists of a theoretical session from 0845 until 1430 with ½ hour for lunch.
The overview of the course is as follows: -

· Hoses and Attachments
· Pre Use Checks
· Start Up Procedures
· Safe Systems of Work
· PPE
· Risk Assessment and Control Measures
Afternoon
· Team Roles
· Working, Test and Burst Pressures
· Pre Use Checks of Equipment
· Pressures and Flows
· Flammable Atmospheres
· Nozzle Selection
· Surface Preparation
· Cold Cutting
· Tube Cleaning
· Drain and Sewer Cleaning
· Water Jetting Injuries
The theoretical session is concluded with a 20 question test paper of which 80% is a pass mark.
The practical session from 1430 and will last approximately 20 minutes per student which includes:
Cutting up a Pallet or Railway Sleeper using a pencil jet at approx 7-10000 PSI
Followed by practical demonstration and use of a drain cleaning scenario
All students are given a WJA Code of Practice Book on completion of the training for future use.
A course evaluation is completed for 10 categories which will be available to you on completion.
