The Introduction to CCTV Inspection and Drain Cleaning two day training course aims to: -
1. To pass on knowledge and practical skills of camera equipment types, drainage cleaning equipment types, equipment usage (pro’s and con’s), maintenance of equipment, and interpretation of camera images.
2. Practical demonstrations of equipment used for drain survey blockage removal and patch repair systems.
Other demonstrations and subjects can be integrated into the course on request.

· The history of CCTV and how CCTV surveys are used and how they have progressed over the last 20 years.
· Equipment types – Most common types of equipment.
· Purpose of Survey - Types of survey
· Terms and terminology.
· Site information needed.
· Types of drainage system – Ownership who’s responsible for the maintenance. · Drain Serviceability checklist
· Identifying the need for drain repairs.
· Picture interpretation
· Common survey codes (WRC standard)
· Coding formats and forms
· Reporting the findings of a drain survey.
· Reporting format.
· Template of survey reports, software.
· Completion of surveys – Site work
· Site safety for personal and public.
· Practical hands on working with real CCTV equipment how to set-up, use and maintain.
· Patch repair practical demonstration.
· Blockage clearance – The different techniques.
All delegates will receive a copy of the WRC Drain Repair Book, which will be used as a training aid.
